Sierra Mike Delta Consulting provides generalized Strategic Planning, Business Development and technology transition with a focus on the Space and Missile Defense areas. With nearly 40 years’ experience in Space, High Altitude, Missile Defense, and related programs, we provide expertise that understands the organizations, the challenges, and the changing environment of the various DoD and related customers in these areas.
Particular emphasis is placed on understanding technology and prototype development and transition of those technologies into programs of record through the establishment of service requirements, warfighter need statements, and establishing budgets to make the transition successful. Additionally, identifying customer needs and developing innovative solutions to their biggest challenges are particular strengths that SMD Consulting can bring to many customers.
Another area of particular expertise is advice and advocacy for the evolving use of High Altitude platforms, not only for government use, but also commercial. For many of these applications, the high altitude platforms are cost effective to space-based capabilities and offer additional advantages. These advantages include deployability to concentrate focus on a particular area, such as disaster assistance, tailorability with interchangeable payloads, and replacability, since if a high altitude platform becomes inoperable for any reason, a replacement can easily be launched and be on station quickly.
